Safari In Namibia. Planning for a perfect trip into the wilderness!
Day 1
We depart after breakfast from your accommodation establishments via Okahandja where we will stop to visit the artistic wood carvers and proceed to the Okoujima Farm, home of Africat Foundation where we will pitch up camp and have lunch. The afternoon will be spent viewing the cheetah and leopard from close distance.
Day 2
After an early bush walk and breakfast, we break camp and head on to Kamanjab and to our camp at an Ova – Himba Community Project. There is time to walk and enjoy the area before setting down for the night.
Day 3
After breakfast we visit the Himba Village and learn something about these proud, semi nomadic people. After lunch, we break camp and proceed to Damaraland. We will have the opportunity to visit the ancient site of Twyfelfontein to see the Bushman paintings, rock engravings and organ pipes.
Day 4
Our day starts by still traveling through the Damaraland, this time to the famous “White Lady” rock painting. We might be lucky to see the desert elephant or black rhino on our way to the campsite near the Uxab River. Picnic lunch en – route. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 5
After breakfast and breaking camp, we continue our safari to the Spitzkoppe. After pitching camp we will have the opportunity to walk around lunch will be prepare and serve by our guide at the camp. The afternoon will be spent visiting the “Small Bushman Paradise, Stone Bridge and “Golden Snake”.
Day 6
Having breaking camp we travel via Henties Bay to Cape Cross seal colony. Here we will observe thousands of Cape fur seals experiencing their sounds and social behaviour. We now travel to the coastal town of Swakopmund, Namibia’s premier holiday resort. After exploring the town, dinner will be at your own expense in one of the good restaurants in town.
Day 7
Our guide will prepare breakfast for us before heading on to Aabadi Bush Camp. We will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the cook of Aabadi Bush Camp after pitching camp and familiarizing with the area. Local guides will take us out to watch the sundowner where after we will be treated with an excellent dinner at the main camp site.
Day 8
Early morning bush walk and return back to Windhoek after a well earned breakfast.
